Post count mod
I'm wondering if there is a mod out there that disables the post count in a specific forum?

Groups' forum permissions - select the group you want to edit - select the forum you want to disable the post counter in - click Advanced Permissions - then Misc tab - select Increment post counter - and Apply permissions 
note the not in that permission "Please note that this setting only affects new posts." meaning the posts already there will already affect the post counts
