flying a drone...

got to play with a drone this fall and took some pretty nice pictures with it :D

here's a pic of my campground from 400 meters up.
i'm standing close to the center of the basketball court next to the building with the red roof in the center of the picture... you can actually see my shadow :lol:

That is some pretty awesome pic there. The area it covers is quite large for sure :)

I've been wanting a drone real bad since they came out... almost as bad as I wanted a computer when they first came out. :D

the one we got is a DJI Phantom 3 Advanced. not the best by any means but still very nice ;)

pic in the first post... 400 meters high

first pic in the 5th post... 42.2 meters

second pic in 5th post... 23.1 meters

every flight gets all of the flight data recorded so you can see exactly where you were and you can replay every flight. all flights also get a GPS map image taken that the flight data gets overlaid on.
